Rail Operations professionals plays an important role in day-to-day train operations, ensuring smooth travelling and safety of its commuters. This include but not limited to, duties such as crowd control, incident management, track protection, signal, and controlling of train services.

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Rail Operations Professionals is a Place-and-Train programme offered by the Public Transport Operator, SMRT Corporation Ltd (SMRT).

The CCP aims to train mid-career individuals and equip them with the necessary competencies to embark on a career in the Rail Industry as Station Manager/ Assistant Station Manager.

Station Manager/ Assistant Station Manager work on a rotating shift and the typical gross salary range is between $2,100 and $3,400.

To apply, you should

• Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident;
• Graduated or completed National Service for at least 2 years;
• New job role trained for under the CCP should be substantially different from previous job role(s)*, hence requiring reskilling for career conversion;
• Have no colour vision deficiency;
• Able to perform rotating shift duty, including weekends and public holidays; and
• Able to respond effectively to stressful or unpredictable situations

*CCPs are geared towards helping mid-career individuals acquire skills to change career path. Hence, career conversion is required when mid-career individuals undergo CCP. However, individuals who have a continuous employment gap of at least 2 years prior to CCP commencement; will be allowed to apply for CCP job roles similar to their previous jobs.

Shortlisted candidates will be employed full-time by SMRT and will undergo the CCP with a training duration of up to 5 months.

The Facilitated Classroom Training and On-the-Job Training (OJT) are conducted by experienced supervisors during the CCP.  It will equip candidates with the knowledge and necessary skillsets to perform the job.
