Accurate as of 16 May 2024
What is it?

As Precision Engineering companies adopt more technologies in their manufacturing shop floor in a bid to stay competitive, they are on the lookout for individuals to take on higher value manufacturing jobs. The CCP for Advanced Manufacturing Operator is a career conversion programme targeted at Operators including mid-career switchers to undergo skills conversion and move into manufacturing job roles within the Precision Engineering sector.

Administered by Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA), Singapore Industrial Automation Association (SIAA) and Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the CCP operates under the following modes:

  1. Place-and-Train (New hire): Operators are hired by participating employers before undergoing training to take on new manufacturing job roles.

  1. Redeployment/ Job Redesign Reskilling (JRR): Targeted at companies that are undergoing business transformation, or where their existing Operators are in vulnerable jobs due to transformation. These Operators will be provided with training to take on new or enhanced job roles within the same company.

Under the CCP for Advanced Manufacturing Operator, individuals will undergo a structured On-the-Job training (OJT) centric training programme at the company. The duration of the CCP that an individual will undergo is summarised in the table below.
