What is it?

The Technology in Finance Immersion Programme (TFIP) is jointly developed by the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) and Workforce Singapore (WSG), in consultation with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS); and with the support and validation of participating financial institutions.

It aims to help individuals gain experience in new technology areas, within the Financial Services sector.

For the Business Analysis track, trainees will acquire the necessary skills through (a) structured training with industry-recognised training providers and (b) an attachment with a financial institution.


Who can apply?

Individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in Business Analysis and fulfil the following pre-requisites may apply:

  • A Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Graduated or completed National Service (whichever is later and where relevant) for at least 2 years, at the point of application
  • A tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) in any of these areas: Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) OR prior working experience in the Financial Services industry
  • No prior working experience in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Business Analysis, Technology Product Management, Digital Marketing, Agile IT Project Management or User Experience Design
  • Any applicant with outstanding obligations to previous sponsorship(s) will not be allowed to participate
  • Must not be a shareholder* of the hosting financial institution, or its related companies
  • Must not be related to the owner(s)^ of the hosting financial institution
  • Must not be immediate ex-staff of the hosting financial institution or related entities

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an assessment, aptitude test and interview as part of the selection process for the programme. Applications will close on 10 Aug 2021.

Participants of the Technology in Finance Immersion Programme (TFIP) will be provided with full-time structured training followed by work attachment at one of the financial institutions as part of the programme. As TFIP participants are not employees of the financial institutions, they will not be covered by the Employment Act and CPF Act.
