What is it?

WSG’s career conversion programmes are targeted at individuals including mid-career switchers, to undergo skills conversion and move into new occupations or sectors that have good prospects.

Under the CCP for Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinators, you will undergo a structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) provided by your hiring company to equip you with the skill sets to take on your new job role. The OJT will be conducted over a 3-month period, and you will also be required to attend a pre-approved external training programme. Depending on your role, your training programme may cover areas such as safety, work from height, warehouse operations, etc.

Upon successful completion of the CCP, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to embark on a career in the Logistics sector.

Who can apply?

Interested Candidates and Companies will need to meet the following criteria:

Candidates

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Graduated or completed National Service, at least 2 years* prior at the date of application.
  • New job role trained for under the CCP should be substantially different from previous job role(s), hence require reskilling for career conversion#

*This will be counted from the date of graduation from latest qualification, or date of completion of national service, whichever is later

#The programme is geared towards helping jobseekers acquire skills to change careers. Hence, there is a requirement for career conversion.

In general, individuals applying for CCP should also not be shareholders, immediate ex-employees of company or related entities, or be related to shareholders of the hiring company.

Company

  • Registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Must be able to offer employment directly related to the job which the CCP is for, with remuneration that commensurate with the market rate
    • Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinators: $1,500 - $2,500
  • Commit to the CCP training arrangements for new hires that they have selected
  • Be committed to work with WSG or its appointed partner on the necessary administrative matters related to the programme

Meeting the above requirements does not guarantee enrolment onto the CCP, this shall be at the discretion of Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA) and WSG.


How does it work?

Selected candidates will undergo 3 months of CCP which comprises On-the-Job training and a pre-approved training.

Standard Rate: Up to 70% of Monthly Salary

(capped at $2,000 per month during training period)

 

Enhanced Rate: Up to 90% of Monthly Salary

(capped at $3,000 per month during training period)

 

Standard Rate: Up to 35% of Monthly Salary

(capped at $1,000 per month during training and retention period)

 

Enhanced Rate: Up to 45% of Monthly Salary (capped at $1,500 per month during training and retention period)
