Rail Engineers play a critical role in helping to maintain the safety and reliability of the rail network. Besides providing technical support for the railway system, Executive Engineers (EEs) are required to conduct and take part in engineering studies, investigations, project management, as well as monitoring of asset and system performance. Assistant Engineers (AEs) are tasked to lead and supervise a team of Technical Officers in performing maintenance, repair, overhaul, testing and troubleshooting of train system and controls. They also need to ensure workplace safety and provide support in administrative tasks such as report submission. Rail Engineers work on rostering shift work and the typical basic salary starts from $2,400 for Diploma Holders and $3,400 for Degree Holders. Training will be provided.

The programme aims to train mid-career individuals by equipping them with the necessary skills and competencies to embark on a career in the Land Transport Industry as Rail Engineers.
