Design: CCP for Furniture Industry Talent (Design)
Reskill your competencies to take on new jobs
Accurate as of 31 Mar 2024
What is it?

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Furniture Industry Talent (Design) aims to support local mid-career Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) to embark on a career conversion to exciting job opportunities such as:

  1. Interior Designer
  2. Product & Furniture Designer
  3. Sales Designer
  4. Project Management Designer

This programme supports the Singapore Furniture Industry Council’s (SFIC) 2025 industry roadmap which aims to establish Singapore as the Asian hub influencing tomorrow’s urban living. Design will continue to play a critical role to transform the industry and there is a need to grow the demand of design talent to create customer-centric, urban living solutions. As society progresses and with the evolving wants of consumers, a new pipeline of tech-savvy designers with skills to create customer-centric products, using latest design software for commercial production is needed.

SFIC, through its training and skills development arm SFIC Institute, is the programme partner of Workforce Singapore (WSG) for the CCP for Furniture Industry Talent (Design). WSG’s CCP for Furniture Industry Talent (Design) enables employers to hire and train new hires without relevant prior experience through a 6-month On-the-Job Training (OJT) programme to facilitate their conversion into the furniture industry.
