Food Sector: CCP for Food Professionals and Associates (New Hire PMET) – SGPC

What is it?

WSG’s Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Food Professionals and Associates supports the training and reskilling of mid-career switchers and existing employees in the food services and food manufacturing (hereinafter referred to as ‘food’) sectors. The appointed Programme Partners will work with participating companies to customise their training plans, which can comprise a mix of classroom training and on-the-job training (OJT) or 100% OJT, depending on the company’s needs.


Who can apply?

Individuals

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 years and above;
  • New hires must have graduated or completed National Service for at least 2 years, whichever is later;
  • Assessed to meet the career conversion criteria, new hires must not have prior working experience or been in a similar job role in previous employment;
  • Existing employees must be employed by the company for at least 1 year at the point of CCP application;
  • Must not be undergoing any programmes funded by WSG concurrently;
  • Must not have connections to the CCP participating company
  1. Shareholder of the CCP participating company or its related entities;
  2. Related to the owner(s) of the CCP participating company; and
  3. Immediate ex-staff of the CCP participating company or its related entities

Companies

  • Registered or incorporated in Singapore;
  • Commit to CCP training arrangements for new hires and/or existing employees;
  • Be committed to work with WSG and Programme Partners on the necessary administrative matters related to CCP.

How does it work?

Duration of Programme

New Hires

  • PMET: 6 months of structured on-the-job training (OJT)
  • Non-PMET: 3 months of structured on-the-job training (OJT)

Existing Employees

  • PMET/Non-PMET: 3 months of structured on-the-job training (OJT)

Funding rates

Standard Rate

Enhanced Rate

(For Long-term Unemployed

Singapore Citizen (SC)/ Permanent Resident (PR) trainees Or Mature SC/PR trainees)

Up to 70% of monthly salary for CCP training duration

(capped at $5,000 per month)

Up to 90% of monthly salary for CCP training duration

(capped at $7,500 per month)
