What is it?

The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for Medical Technology Engineer and Assistant Engineer is a 9-month programme which operates on a Place-and-Train mode.

Participating companies employ the candidates before they undergo facilitated classroom training and structured on-the-job training (OJT). Customised programmes are designed for different job roles, which are tailored to individual’s development needs so as to equip them with the relevant skills and competencies for a successful career conversion.

Who can apply?
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 years and above;
  • Have graduated or completed National Service, whichever is later, at least two years prior at the point of application;
  • Possess at least an Engineering or Science related NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma/Degree;
  • Be newly hired and nominated by an eligible participating company for the PCP; and
  • Not be in a similar job function prior to joining the PCP.

Applications received would be forwarded to participating employers for shortlisting. Shortlisted candidates have to go through the participating employer’s selection process, which is the same as that of a normal job application. The candidate has to be offered employment by a participating company before embarking on the programme.
