Reskill your competencies to take on new jobs
What is it?

The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for Digital Advertising Professionals aims to reskill and develop local Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) into digital advertising job roles. The PCP trains the PMETs in digital marketing & data analytics, web development & applications and user interface & user experience.

The programme will equip entrants with the relevant digital and strategic skills to perform job roles such as digital marketing strategists, digital advertising manager and creative designer.


Who can apply?

To qualify for the PCP for Digital Advertising Professionals, you must meet the following criteria:

Jobseekers / New Hires

Participating Companies

  • Be a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Permanent Resident (PR) aged 21 years and above;
  • New hires must have graduated or completed NS, whichever is later, for at least two years prior at the point of application;
  • Must not have prior working experience or in a similar job role in previous employment;
  • Must be a newly hired PMET for not more than three (3) months, and nominated by an eligible company for the PCP;
  • Must not be a shareholder of the participating company, or its related companies;
  • Must not be related to the owner(s) of the participating company; and
  • Must not be immediate ex-staff of participating company and its related companies.
  • Registered or incorporated in Singapore with a valid Unique Entity Number (UEN) with Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA);
  • Offer a full-time PMET position, with a minimum monthly gross salary of $2,800, and of at least a 12-month employment contract;
  • Offer employment digital advertising jobs or related jobs, with remuneration that is aligned to the market rate;
  • The participating company must have the knowledge and capacity to provide structured on-the-job training for the candidate.

Course Fee Grant:

Up to 70% course fee funding

Up to 90% course fee funding

For SCs/PRs trainees sponsored by SMEs or mature SC trainees aged 40 years old and above.

Salary Support (To refer to note A):

 

Up to 70% of monthly salary for PCP training duration (capped at $4,000 per month)

Up to 90% of monthly salary for PCP training duration (capped at $6,000 per month)

 

For SC trainees who are unemployed and actively seeking employment for six months or more and/or SC trainees aged 40 years old and above in the year of commencement of the PCP.

Note A:

For individuals newly hired[1] and put on Place-and-Train PCPs for the period between 1 Sep 2020 and 28 Feb 2021, the Salary Support will now be disbursed to participating employers over a longer period, comprising the PCP training duration and an additional period of retention equivalent to the training duration.

 

Application and Selection Process

The participants will go through six (6) months of PCP training comprising 152 hours of classroom training and structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) at the hiring company. Individuals placed in the PCP may expect a starting monthly gross salary from $2,800.

Note:

Jobseekers applying for the PCP will go through the participating employer’s screening and selection process similar to any job application.

[1] The adjustment to Salary Support disbursement will apply based on the date of hire of the individuals (i.e. start of employment with employer and not date of commencement of the PCP). To illustrate, the adjustment to SS disbursement will not apply to individuals hired before 1 Sep 2020, even if they start the PCP after 1 Sep 2020. Conversely, individuals hired between 1 Sep 2020 – 28 Feb 2021 will be covered by the changes, even if they start the PCP after 28 Feb 2021.
