What is it?

PCPs are career conversion programmes targeted at Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs), including mid-career switchers and RnF workers, to undergo skills conversion and move into new occupations or sectors that have good prospects.

Under the PCP for Aerospace Officer and Aerospace Executive, you will undergo a structured training programme endorsed by SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC)/Republic Polytechnic (RP) to take on your new job role. The training, comprising classroom training and On-the-Job training, will be conducted over 9 months.

Upon successful completion of the PCP, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to embark on a career in the Aerospace sector.

Who can apply?


Candidates who are mid-career new hires must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident;
  • Minimum 21 years old;
  • Have graduated or completed National Service at least 2 years prior at the point of application;
  • Must be newly hired PMETs, within the last 3 months, and nominated by an eligible company prior to enrolment into the programme; and
  • Must not be in a similar job role prior to joining the programme.


All participating companies must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Registered or incorporated in Singapore;
  • Must offer the newly hired PMET a valid permanent full-time position or at least a 12-month full-time employment contract, with a basic monthly salary of $1,700 or above; and
  • Newly hired PMET must be within the last 3 months prior to enrolment into programme.
