Precision Engineering: CCP for Clean and Renewable Energy Professionals
Reskill your competencies to take on new jobs
Accurate as of 02 Nov 2021
What is it?

As Singapore moves towards a greener economy, there will be a need for companies to address their energy demands in a more sustainable way through either improving energy efficiency (EE) or adopting clean/ renewable energy (RE). As a result, new job roles will be created while other manufacturing job roles today may be made redundant and will need to be transformed and redesigned. The CCP for Clean and Renewable Energy Professionals is a career conversion programme targeted at Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs), including mid-career individuals to undergo skills conversion and move into clean/ renewable energy and EE related job roles within the manufacturing sector.

Administered by Singapore Polytechnic (SP), the CCP operates under the following modes:

  1. Place-and-Train: PMET is hired by participating employer before undergoing training to take on a new clean/ renewable and EE related job role

  1. Redeployment/ Job Redesign (JR) Reskilling: Targeted at companies that are undergoing business transformation, and where their existing PMETs are in vulnerable jobs due to the transformation. These PMETs will be provided with training to take on new job roles or redesigned job roles in the area of clean/ renewable energy and EE within the same company

Under the CCP for Clean and Renewable Energy Professionals, you will undergo a structured training programme comprising classroom training with SP and On-the-Job training (OJT) at the company. Newly hired PMETs and existing PMETs undergoing redeployment will undergo a 6-month programme while existing PMETs undergoing JR Reskilling will take on a 3-month programme.

Upon successful completion of the CCP, you will be equipped with the necessary clean/ renewable energy/ EE skills to take on greener roles within the Manufacturing sector.
