With the growth of e-commerce and increasingly sophisticated logistics services demands from shippers for greater supply chain visibility and responsiveness, companies in the supply chain and logistics sector will need to transform and digitalise to remain competitive.
New roles that were traditionally not found in the logistics sector are beginning to emerge with technology adoption, and the emergence of new roles is expected to accelerate as businesses adopt Industry 4.0 (I4.0) solutions. Cross-disciplinary skills in the areas of data analytics, software development, automation, and sustainability are required to meet the changing demands on the supply chain and logistics workforce.
The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Supply Chain and Logistics Professionals and Coordinators is targeted at existing employees whose job roles are being redesigned due to business transformation. Reskilled employees would be able to take on higher value-added job tasks or an enhanced job scope and support the company in pivoting to new growth areas.
Under this CCP, individuals will undergo a structured training programme comprising of On-the-Job Training (OJT) at the company. Upon successful completion of the CCP, these individuals will be equipped with the necessary competencies and skills to take on new or enhanced supply chain or logistics-related job roles.
